Open access curriculum

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

I’ve been interested in the open access curriculum movement from it’s infancy related to my work with wikirecording. It has moved from open access textbooks and wiki based information to include video based lectures. A recent find of mine is the Academic Earth project. The site provides a wide source of video links to lectures and courses. A course I’ve begun watching is on Finance from Yale. It includes assigned reading, lecture video and slides. It’s a great resource and much more entertaining than the TED lectures I reviewed negatively earlier this week. Here is the intro talk to Robert Shiller’s Finance Markets course 252 at Yale.
