On the Road

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

So I’ve been settling in and reading alot I’m finished almost through with a Kerouac novel On The Road which has been a great read enlightening. I’m a very methodical and analytical person and the reckless abondon present in the main character Sal, and his friend Dean is intriguing even if I realize that I could never achieve even a fraction of their spontaneity. Obviously their actions are on the whole dangerous, irrational, adolescent, self obsessed, and immature, but it is the intrigue in watching them unfold and the bit of all of us that wants to engage in such acts that makes the book fly by.
